This asynchronous online course is a learning experience curated for mental health and wellness professionals of all backgrounds, from across the globe, that serve the Black community with the intention to liberate.

The content explored centers the needs of Descendants of Africans enslaved in the U.S., however the concepts are applicable to offering liberatory therapeutic space for BIPOC.

 

COURSE FORMAT 

TRAINING INTENSIVE: Ten Month Access to Modules begins February 20, 2024

Seven pre-recorded 90- 120 minute Modules (eligible for up to 13 CEUs)  for self study WITH prompted activities each module to grasp the subject presented.

Modules are gradually released over the 1st eight weeks of access to support pacing and genuine engagement.

 CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS

The University of Maryland School of Social Work Office of Continuing Professional Education is authorized by the Board of Social Work Examiners in Maryland to sponsor social work continuing education programs and maintains full responsibility for this program. This training qualifies for 13 Category II Continuing Education Units (CEUs) AND ARE SOLD SEPARATELY at a cost of $150. (You will receive guidance on how to gain access to your CEs once you've completed registration.)

Successful completion of this activity requires your participation in the entire activity, successfully passing the posttest and completion of an evaluation form. *While most social work licensing boards accept the CE credit for courses offering  credit from an accredited School of Social Work as valid towards meeting the licensee’s CE requirements towards re-licensure, licensees are responsible for determining whether specific courses meet their jurisdiction’s requirements. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit.
